When I started the Detox Program I had a feeling of drowning in stress, anger, 

impatient feelings, confusion.  I had very minor bouts of depression and even 

though I always pulled myself out, the times of those feelings seemed to get 

closer and closer.  I had a hard time with decision makings, it was hard to 

focus and concentrate.  

 

Since then, through the program, I feel more calm, less angry, even though I 

have some unresolved issues.  My stress level has really gone down.  

I still think about my unresolved issues, but I can see solutions 

more clearly and realize that the only way to get through is to face them 

head on instead of them dragging me down to a depressed state.

The International Academy of Detox Specialists offers information and education regarding the use of detoxification to address the human consequences of chemical contamination and drug abuse.  They are the agency that licenses the Institute for Detoxification and Health to use the Hubbard Method of Detoxification.

NY Detox Project:

The attack on the WTC towers, and their subsequent collapse, brought unprecedented toxic exposures, beginning with a dust storm of pulverized concrete, steel, asbestos, carpeting, office equipment and other matter.  The toxic particles were among the smallest ever seen—so small that normal body defenses were useless.

Within weeks of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, the Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education (FASE) began to receive calls from firefighters and union officials interested in detoxification.   From the earliest meetings, a consensus was evident: everything possible should be done to help the rescue workers who were not responding to existing treatments.  The New York Detox Project provides the program to the rescue workers.

Narconon:

Narconon is a non-profit drug rehab program dedicated to eliminating drug abuse and drug addiction through drug prevention, education and rehabilitation.  The Narconon network consists of over 100 drug rehab and drug prevention and education centers around the world.

Second Chance Program:

The Second Chance Program is a unique non-religious and non-medical prison-based crime and drug rehabilitation model. The six to eight-month program uses no alternate drugs and through education, nutrition and body detoxification achieves a high rate of success.  Independent university studies show over a 5-year period that criminal recidivism has dropped to less than 10% for those who have participated prior to release in at least one third of the Second Chance Program.

Utah Project:

Utah leads the nation in reducing the number of dangerous methamphetamine labs over the last six years. Many of the police officers, who voluntarily went into these toxic homes to make Utah safer, are suffering ill effects from the toxic chemicals they encountered in those labs. The Utah Attorney General is working to make the detoxification program available to these police officers.
